Once again this year, the Rotary Club of Sussex is proud to assist the Shop with a Cop Program (SWAC).
The Coats for Kids Program last year provided all six SWAC children with funds to purchase winter outerwear. As they were out “shopping” this donation allowed them the opportunity to purchase a new coat, boots, or whatever they needed. As well, it covered the cost to assist in purchasing all the children’s siblings' hats, mitts, and gloves for the winter season. This is a well-received addition to the program and we are so excited to announce we will be doing the same thing this year!
Presenting this year's cheque to assist with the purchase of winter wear is Rotary Club of Sussex member, Taylor McWhirter.
If you are willing to donate a new or gently used coat, they can be dropped off at the Scotiabank on Main Street or the Salvation Army Thrift Store. If you wish to make a cash or gift certificate donation, please feel free to reach out!
