International President of Toastmasters

Rotarian Ian Smyth introduced Jim Kokocki from Toastmasters on June 12, 2017.

Jim is an entrepreneur and business consultant residing in Saint John. He has been a Toastmasters for 27 years and served on their Board of Directors.

He has served as International President and even attained the highest level of achievement in the organization.

Jim spoke of the mission of Toastmasters to empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders...

Public speaking is a focus of the organization and participants are trained to think on their feet when they are challenged to give impromptu speeches. A quick-thinking strategy is to remember the phrase “Past, Present, and Future” and to talk about the topic from this perspective.

Toastmasters is an international body, and Jim shared some of his experiences abroad. Toastmasters is focused on helping individuals to gain more self-confidence in their ability to speak publicly.

Ian also thanked Jim.
