On April 14, 2011, the Club held its second Annual Dinner & Auction to raise funds for Community projects.
Over 120 Rotarians and community supporters attended the event, and over $11,000 was raised through dinner ticket sales, 50/50 and wine ticket sales, and a live and silent auction. A new event for this year was a dessert auction with the goodies supplied by Rotarians.
The guest speaker for the evening was the Hon. Blaine Higgs (pictured here), Minister of Finance for the Province. Minister Higgs gave a fascinating talk on his experiences since taking office, and how the government is seeking opportunities to reduce the deficit while making itself and employees accountable...
