Sunshine House Financial's seven areas of specialty are:

  3. Estate Planning - Ensuring that what you are leaving to the next generation is taxed efficiently, leaving your loved ones as much as you can.
  4. Corporate Tax Planning - Working with business owners to ensure they are using available strategies to build and protect wealth adequately within their corporation.
  5. Charitable Giving - Using a tax-efficient approach to leave a legacy to charities that are close to your heart.
  6. Retirement Planning - Are you going to outlive your money?
  7. Group Insurance/Group Pensions - Leader in the industry.
Ed explained the importance of having an independent advisor.

Independent advisors, like those of Sunshine House Financial, have access to any fund on the market; there are no limitations.  This allows them to “cherry-pick” the best solutions for their clients.

The Lipper Awards highlight funds and fund companies that have excelled in delivering consistently strong risk-adjusted-performance.  Ed used leading Canadian banks as examples, several of which have award-winning funds. Sunshine House Financial Advisors have access to not only these top funds but also other top funds in the market. This is why their most significant strength is independence.

Sunshine House Financial provides medical underwriting to ensure that their clients receive the health coverage that is best for them.  Ed explained that people could pay for health insurance for years without knowing that they are, in fact, not covered due to some preexisting health conditions. Their advisors send nurses to collect blood and urine samples, along with an in-depth medical questionnaire, which provides an accurate assessment of the client’s health before suggesting insurance needs.

Ed was thanked by his father, Rotarian Greg Keith (pictured, with gavel), who happened to also be chairing the meeting.
