Sussex Rotary Is Growing!
Sussex Rotary was proud to induct its newest member, Lara Robinson, on Monday, October 6th, 2020, at the weekly meeting.

Presiding over the induction were Angie Cummings, current Club President, and Rhoda Wilson, past president and current Club Treasurer. Angie welcomed Lara to the Club and, Rhoda shared a few insights about Lara for the Club...

"A long-time resident of Sussex having lived here most of her life, Lara has three children, two who have graduated and one still in school. Lara was a hairstylist for fourteen years and then transitioned into Human Services to work with youth and adults in group homes and services.

When the new Civic Centre opened, Lara reconnected with her love of aquatics. It was during this time that she started bringing clients to the pool and soon became a regular herself. Lara was approached to volunteer in childminding and then started teaching aquatic lessons. Four years later, she is now the Co-Manager and Aquatics Coordinator of the Nutrien Civic Centre.

Lara has a background in customer service and human services which lend themselves perfectly to her day to day responsibilities at the Centre. She has often been heard saying this is a culmination of everything she loves and has found her spot. She feels by joining Rotary she now has a greater ability to give back to the community.
"

Welcome to Sussex Rotary, Lara!
