Sussex Wellness Network

On May 1, 2017, Rotarian Ed Keith introduced Megan Miner.

Megan Miner spoke of her work with the Sussex Wellness Network in connecting members of the community with programs in the area, i.e., connecting families to the Family Resource Centre and Mental Health.

Megan explained programs like “Dial-A-Ride.” Volunteers for this program are needed, and all that is required is a driver’s license and adequate insurance for a vehicle. The program will pay mileage for the drivers and provide service for community members who have a difficult time getting to necessary health-related appointments. A yearly membership of $20 is charged to clients of the Dial-A-Ride, but the long-term cost savings to them is considerable...

Pam Drury, new Rotarian, spoke of her role with the center in offering programs related to mental health initiatives. The Centre is about to launch a website but presently has an active Facebook page.

Rotarian Bob Tremblett thanked Megan.
